At Brooklyn Waldorf School Early Childhood Summer Camp, children enjoy the simple pleasures of a warm day in Prospect Park. After a morning at the Lincoln Road playground, the group stops and smells the roses, sage, trumpet honeysuckle, and sweet-bay magnolia.
On an adventure walk along the Ravine, pockets fill with bark and choice pebbles. After lunch under a shady tree, everyone searches the Nethermead for four-leaf clovers. At the end of the day, while skipping stones from the peninsula, they spot a swan and her cygnets swimming home.
It’s just another day at BWS Summer Camp.
