Early Childhood, Overview

The Brooklyn Waldorf School provides a variety of developmentally-appropriate programs for children 18 months through six years of age.

breadecThe Parent-Child Program provides toddlers and parents with an introduction to classroom rhythms and Waldorf education as they learn together. The Bridge Program serves as a transition between the Parent Child classes and the realm of school; it provides children with an opportunity enter the classroom community and separate from their parents at their own pace.

The Nursery and Kindergarten programs provide students with a more extensive school day, rich with age-appropriate activities that educate the whole child. Nursery provides children with an opportunity to fully enter the life of the classroom, while Kindergarten builds on the Nursery program with more complex circles, stories, crafts, and play activities. All of the school’s Early Childhood programs provide children with a warm, loving educational environment and a sensory-rich, play-centered, consistent daily experience.
