Community Chorus — A Singing Group for Grown-Ups
Come sing with us!
The Brooklyn Waldorf School Community Chorus meets Thursdays 6PM-8PM in the Waldorf Room, located on the first floor of the School.
Welcoming singers at all levels of experience, we sing in the round in a spirit of celebration and community. You do not need to be able to read music, nor do you need to be a confident singer (though those gifts are welcome)! Songs are taught by ear with sheet music available for those who desire it.
Our repertoire draws on folk music traditions from around the world, including South African freedom songs, shapenote, shaker, Balkan, Russian, and European folk songs. Come for one or two of our meetings, or come regularly. We work in a way that allows for all levels of commitment.
There is no cost to attend the chorus.
